Arjuna Vishada Yoga

Dhritarashtra said: O Sanjaya, what did my sons and the sons of Pandu do when they assembled on the sacred field of Kurukshetra, eager to fight?

Sanjaya said: Seeing the army of the Pandavas arrayed in military formation, King Duryodhana approached his teacher Drona and spoke these words.

Behold, O Teacher, this mighty army of the sons of Pandu, arranged in military formation by your wise disciple, the son of Drupada.

Arjuna said: O Krishna, seeing my own kinsmen arrayed and eager to fight, my limbs fail and my mouth becomes dry.

Sanjaya said: Having spoken thus on the battlefield, Arjuna sat down on the seat of his chariot, casting aside his bow and arrows, his mind overwhelmed with grief.
